Botánico is a village’ house located in the historic center of Arcos de la Frontera, the southern entrance to the white villages road of the Sierra de Cádiz.
The building, formerly joined to the house next door, was an hospice for nuns in the 13th century, then it was divided and gradually adapted to the needs of the owners. The first fabric shop was located in this house and subsequently, on the first floor, opened the first ladies’ hairdressing salon in the town. While there are no traces left of the ancient linen shop, a small detail of the hairdressing shop has been preserved…
After buying the building we undertook a long renovation, trying to maintain as much of the legacy of its past as possible: including wounds. Once finished we decided to open our home to the world. We chose a decoration that was both welcoming and reflective of our tastes, and the art objects we have collected over the years. The beloved plants, which fill the house with life, are also part of the family.
Botánico is a real home, we live here sharing the spaces with guests, friends and family: under this roof there are no strangers, there are people who have not yet met.
In Botánico we offer our guests six double rooms, each with private bathroom, heating/cooling, safe, fridge and TV screen. Just like our guests, each room has its own style and personality If you need park your car, ask us about the best option in near publics parking
